Meet Portia Desdemona Nikita

This is the story of my frend Portia Desdemona Nikita. Portia is a 9 year old kitty who lives with her human momee and dadee. Portia Desdemona was born in the cold, cold outside world. Her mom-cat (called Mottl) moved Portia and her siblings into a warm box house at what would become Portia's furever home.

As you can see, Portia Desdemona Nikita is a tabby an she looks like she is part Maine Coon and part Persian. She has a cute little moustache pattern on her furz.

When Mottl moved her kittens in to the howse, the people named the kittens Othello, Juliette and Hamlet. But it turned out that little Hamlet was really Portia Desdemona! Othello and Juliette got adopted but Portia stayed with her parents in her furever home.

Portia Desdemona Nikita was a very scrappy kitten. When she was little she was very sick with ringworm. The vet said she was the fighting-est kitten he ever did see. An Portia did get better and now she is gorgeous an all grown up.

Because her moemy left when Portial and her siblings were still tiny, her human dadee taught them how to eat solid fudz. Portia didn't like to eats too much, so dadee stroked her from head to tail. An Portia still likes to be stroked when she eats fudz and they call her "shnicker schnack" when she eats. Portia is picky too - no fish!

Portia Desdemona's mommee and dadee loves her very much an she loves them. Even when her dadee had surgery and she jumped up right on his wound! He yelled and Portia was scared! But whenever her parents are sad or ill, Portia stays close by and takes care of them.

Portia's favorite toys are her mom's makeup brush, her plague ratsie an her kush-balls. She also likes to watch the birdies and chatter at them.

I have been watching birdies out the window

The Winner of KittyFightClub - SANJEE!

Sanjee won the KittyFightClub against me, so I wanted to know more about this cute kitty. Here is what she said to me:

This is me when I was a baby! Mommy's holding me and it was real easy for her cuz I only weighted one pound!

 I got rescued from the wilderness behind a car fixing shop when I was only 4 weeks old. And after only one day of rescuedness, I picked out Mommy by crawling up her arm and went to live with her. She promised to spoil me and she's done purty danged good at it!

 Now Sanjee is almost 8 years old and still very spoiled. haahaha!

I has an extremely long and floofy tail. This is because I am a Maine Coon Cat. I also has fluffy white britches, little ear tufts and a mane like a lion! Meow.

This is me when I was about 1 year old and getting too big for my cat tree. I love to jump and climb and be up high! I also has my favorite spider-toy with me. I had spider-toy since I was a little kitten.

MEET JOE THE GORILLA

What kind of Gorilla are you?
Like every other captive gorilla except for 3 individuals, I am a western lowland gorilla. Clearly a stutterer gave us our scientific name, which is: gorilla gorilla gorilla. Two eastern lowland gorillas live in Antwerp, Belgium (they are gorilla gorilla graueri). And one very rare Cross River gorilla named Nyango lives in a sanctuary in Cameroon (gorilla gorilla diehli). My boss-lady Jane knows every gorilla in captivity almost. She's a real nut job!

Where were you born and where do you live now?
Sadly, I don't remember where I was born, but my red hair on my big saggital crest makes some think it was Cameroon or Gabon in West Africa some time in 1963. After years of living in zoos, I finally lucked out and now live in paradise, where I have my own Gorilla Villa and acres to roam in. The place is called GORILLA HAVEN (http://www.gorilla-haven.org/) and I'm treated like the King I am here.

Who is your best friend?
That would have to be my caregiver, Kelly. She spoils me, as I so richly deserve.

What is your favorite thing to do?
Eating and farting take up a lot of my day. But I love to sit outside in my grassy habitat and enjoy the sunshine and fresh mountain air, although I do get quite annoyed if a bird or squirrel enters my domaine - like I'd wanna share it with them??

Anything else you would like your friends to know about you?
I am the 4th oldest male gorilla in captivity at 46 years old. The oldest gorilla ever was a lady named Jenny who died last year at 55 years of age. I hope to beat her record and I have a very good chance! Wish me luck!

Mr Boots

I would like to introduce Mr Boots.

Mr Boots came from a far-away and exotic place called Missouri. He was adopted from a shelter and came to me when he was about 6 months old and we has been together here ever since. He is 2 years old now and he is my pal. We plays together, fights together and napz together. Mr Boots never gets moody or temperamental. He has taught me that it is ok to jump on the kitchen counters and to scratch the furnitures. Since Mr Boots has come to play with me I has a lot more fun than when I lived alone with just Her. I can highly recommend that all kitties who don’t have one go out and gets a Mr Boots right away.
